CDIN PRESENTATIONS

Feb 2, 2024 - Dr. Raffaele Ciriello (University of Sydney) gave a presentation titled “Dialectical Inquiry in IS Research: Principles and Composition” to CDIN and CIS faculty and students.

Feb 16, 2024 - Dr. Matt Germonprez (University of Nebraska - Omaha) discussed “Rising Tides - The Steady Transformation of Open Source“ with CDIN and CIS faculty and students.

Mar 29, 2024 - Xinyuan Wei, our CDIN student, presented her works on generative AI and online communities.

Apr 11, 2024 - Dr. Zhitao Yin (HKUST), our CDIN alumni, and Zhenghan Zhang, HKUST PhD student, introduced AutoGen - an LLM-based multi-agent framework to CDIN and CIS.

CDIN COFFEE TALKS

Mar 8, 2024 - Dr. Yu-Kai Lin led our discussion on one year of Generative AI. We discussed the applications of generative AI, its advantages, shortfalls and how to ethically and responsibly use it for our research.

Apr 5, 2024 - Dr. Xinyu Fu discussed ways to improve social media presence to our CDIN students. We had a great discussion with CDIN faculty about streamlining web content as well as communicating our research to the general public.

STUDENTS & FACULTY MILESTONES

Apr 18, 2024 - Our 2nd year CDIN PhD students, Jeongmin Kim and Xinyuan Wei and other CIS PhD students, finished their Theory Development class, one of the toughest courses offered by the CIS PhD program. Congrats!

Apr 25, 2024 - Yi Yang, our 4th year CDIN PhD candidate, successfully proposed her dissertation. Congrats, Yi! Dr. Yu-Kai Lin becomes Associate Professor. Congrats, Dr. Lin!

May 5, 2024 - We congratulate our beloved CIS faculty Dr. Mark Keil on his retirement! We met so many GSU CIS and CDIN alumni and spent so much quality time together with family and friends at the party!

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

May 2, 2023 - Dr. Arun Rai is to serve at the State of Georgia’s Artificial Intelligence Advisory Council. What an exciting time to research in IS!
